Dean Street, Prospect Heights Brooklyn is quickly becoming the hot new spot in this generous and explosive Borough. We all know what is going on on Dean and Flatbush, but up towards Vanderbilt and Underhill is a flurry of activity. In particular the opening of Dean Street Restaurant. Some of you may have heard by now that the former Spotted Pig head chef Nate Smith has opened a new restaurant and bar called Dean Street, along with owners John Longo and WXOU Radio Bar's Rob Gelardi. The space is in the old “Tavern on Dean” location, and was completely renovated and looks beautiful. Relaxed atmosphere - it will be a cafe in the morning with his wife Sophie's fresh baked goods and will open for at night for dinner (late night options) and bar service. This neighborhood is on fire and the proximity to the park, Brooklyn museum, Vanderbilt Street and downtown make it a perfect place to be and grow.
